Jen Robinson is an Australian human rights lawyer and Director of Legal Advocacy at Bertha Philanthropies in London. She has acted in numerous free speech and fredom of information cases, including for the New York Times and Bloomberg, and has defended political prisoners and activists in West Papua, Indonesia. She is known internationally for her work defending Julian Assange and WikiLeaks and worked with the Center for Constitutional Rights in relation to United States v Bradley Manning. She is an adjunct lecturer in law at Sydney university and regularly comments on human rights issues for the media.

Roger Blow is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team of Gadens Lawyers. His commercial litigation practice includes advising on defamation and corporate image protection within the traditional media platforms as well as their modern online competitors.  His media law experience in the UK included acting for the former Vice President of the European Commission (former leader of the UK Labour Party, Hon Neil Kinnock) and a number UK FTSE companies.  He is passionate about the benefits (and pitfalls) of social media.

Jason MacLaurin - Barrister, Francis Burt Chambers

Jason MacLaurin is a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers practicing in all areas of commercial and civil litigation, but with a specific practice in the areas of defamation and media law. Jason has represented numerous media organisations in media-law related work and Court appearances, and also represented both plaintiffs and defendants in many defamation actions.
Prior to joining Francis Burt Chambers in 2006, Jason had worked for Clayton Utz, Bennett and Co,  and for the (now) State Solicitors' Office. Jason is an Adjunct Associate Professor of and a sessional lecturer in Competition and Consumer Law at Notre Dame University, Fremantle.  Jason has also been a sessional lecturer in Competition Law at Murdoch University and a teacher at the University of Western Australia's Forensic Advocacy Course.
